- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 4 thin bone in pork chops
- salt and pepper to taste
- 6 ounces turkey or chicken sausage
- 1 red pepper chopped
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 apple peeled and chopped
- 2 Stalk of Celery sliced
- 1 box stuffing mix
- 1 1/4 c. water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F.
- Heat an oven proof skillet over medium heat.
- Sprinkle the pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Add the corn oil to the skillet and brown the pork chops for about 2 minutes on each side, until they are lightly brown.
- Remove the pork chops, cover and set aside to keep warm.
- Add the sausage to the skillet and stir until it is no longer pink.
- Add the red pepper, onion, apple and celery to the skillet with the sausage cook for 5 minutes to soften the vegetables.
- Remove the skillet from the heat. Add stuffing mix and water and stir until well mixed.
- Arrange the pork chops on top of the stuffing mix, cover the skillet with foil and bake for 10-15 minutes, until pork chops are cooked through and no longer pink.
