- 4 boneless pork chops about 1 inch thick
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear pork chops for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add butter and flour, and whisk to form a roux. Cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually add chicken broth and heavy cream to the skillet, whisking continuously until the gravy thickens.
- Return pork chops to the skillet, coat with gravy, and simmer for 5 minutes until pork chops are cooked through.
