Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops about 1 inch thick, boneless
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear pork chops for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add butter and flour, and whisk to form a roux. Cook for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually add chicken broth and heavy cream to the skillet, whisking continuously until the gravy thickens.
  5. Return pork chops to the skillet, coat with gravy, and simmer for 5 minutes until pork chops are cooked through.
