Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups pan drippings
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a saucepan on the stove.
- Stir in the flour and let it brown for one minute, stirring frequently. This mixture is called a roux.
- Add the pan drippings as well as any extra broth (if necessary) to the butter and flour mixture. Use a whisk to evenly distribute the flour and remove any lumps.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Simmer the gravy for three to four minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve, and enjoy!
