Ingredients

  • 500 grams granulated sugar
  • 500 grams fresh quince cut into small cubes
  • 3 tablespoon water

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Rince, remove seeds, and cut the quince fruit into small cubes, then place into a medium-sized pot along with the sugar and water and give it a stir so the sugar coats the fruit.
  2. Over medium heat cook the mixture while stirring occasionally and bring it to a boil, it will take about 8-10 minutes. The mixture will turn a pinkish color, indicating that it is ready.
  3. Remove the pot from the stove and carefully pour the mixture into a blender and puree.
  4. Pour the marmalade into a small rectangular dish, bowl, or small individual ramekins.
  5. Allow the marmalade quince paste to cool at room temperature for about 60 minutes, then cover with plastic wrap. You can also store it in a container and cover it with a lid.
  6. Serve in slices and serve with fresh cheese.
