Prosciutto Pizza
Prosciutto Pizza combines a pre-made pizza dough base topped with roasted shaved Brussels sprouts, tangy crumbled feta, and grated Parmesan cheese, finished with thin slices of prosciutto after baking. The addition of lemon juice, olive oil, and red pepper flakes adds bright and mildly spicy layers to the flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 pizza dough premade, package
- 1 oz brussel sprouts shaved, package
- 6 lices prosciutto
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ½ lemon juiced
- ⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- ¼ cup feta cheese crumbled
- ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese grated
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place shaved brussel sprouts on a sheet pan and drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper. Bake for about 10 minutes or until they begin to brown. Toss once in the middle of cooking time.
- Spray a sheet pan with cooking spray. Roll dough out and place on sheet pan.
- Whisk together olive oil, lemon and salt and pepper. Spoon onto dough.
- Remove brussel sprouts from oven and put onto pizza. Top with feta cheese, parmesan and red pepper flakes. Bake for about 15 minutes or until crust starts to brown.
- Remove pizza from oven and top with pieces of prosciutto. Serve immediately. Drizzle with balsamic glaze for extra flavor.
Notes
- Roast Brussels sprouts until browned for a caramelized flavor before placing on pizza.
- The prosciutto is added after baking to preserve its tenderness and flavor.
