Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter melted, unsalted
  • 1 cup pecans , roughly chopped
  • 1 cup pumpkin canned
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Topping:
  • 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar , packed
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 1/2 cups water hot

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spread melted butter and chopped pecans over a 9x13 baking pan.
  3. In a large bowl whisk together the pumpkin, vanilla, and sugar until mostly dissolved.
  4. Add in the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice, then whisk until just combined and no dry streaks remain.
  5. Spoon batter over the butter, careful to not mix the butter in.
Topping:
  1. Mix the brown sugar and pumpkin spice and sprinkle it over the batter.
  2. Gently pour the water on top.
  3. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
