Pumpkin Shaped Cinnamon Rolls
Pumpkin Shaped Cinnamon Rolls are an easy treat perfect for fall, Thanksgiving and Halloween! Not only are they cute... they are incredibly delicious.
Ingredients
- 1 tube cinnamon roll dough ex. Pillsbury with icing
- 2 drops orange liquid food color (or 1 drop red and 1 drop yellow)
- 2 drops green food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Carefully open the package of cinnamon rolls and set the icing aside.
- Depending on the brand of cinnamon rolls used, locate the end of each cinnamon roll (or use a knife to make a small cut on the side of each cinnamon roll). Unroll a small section of each roll and shape into a pumpkin stem.
- Place the pumpkin shaped cinnamon rolls on the baking tray. Bake according to package direction until golden brown and cooked through. Allow the rolls to fully cool at room temperature.
- Divide the icing into two small bowls. Transfer ¾ of the icing into one bowl and add 2 drops of orange food coloring (or 1 drop of red and 1 drop of yellow). Transfer ¼ of the icing to a small bowl and add 2 drops of green food coloring. Mix until evenly combined.
- When the cinnamon rolls have fully cooled, use a small spoon to spread the orange icing on the pumpkin and the green icing on the stem. Allow the icing to harden for a few minute at room temperature and then serve.
