Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 medium white onion chopped
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- one ounce can diced tomatoes
- one ounce can diced tomatoes with green chiles
- one ounce can kidney beans rinsed and drained
- one ounce can chick peas black beans, etc. rinsed and drained
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1/2 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- salt to taste
- shredded cheese to top
Instructions
- On your Instant Pot, press the sauté button. Add in the ground beef and the chopped onion, and fry until the onions are soft and translucent and the ground beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain the extra facts and return the pot to the instant pot.
- Add in the garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant and browned.
- Add in the remaining ingredients, mixing thoroughly.
- Press the beans/chili button on your Instant Pot and cook at high pressure for 30 minutes.
- Naturally release the steam or you can manually release it according to the manufacturer's directions.
- Stir and add any salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve in bowls with cheese on top.

- You can sub in your favorite canned beans. Use what is in your pantry, even lentils will work well!
