Ingredients

  • 5.3 ounces raffaello coconut candy 15 count
  • 5 Hershey’s Kisses
  • 25 skittles candy
  • 2 tablespoons Nerds candy cherry and watermelon flavors
  • ¾ cup white chocolate chips
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips
  • black gel food coloring

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Line your baking tray with parchment paper and set it aside.
  2. Unwrap all the candies, put them in separate bowls, and set aside.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate chips with 2-3 teaspoons of oil in the microwave at 20-second intervals; stirring properly after each interval and continuing to heat as necessary. Pour the melted dark chocolate into a zip-top bag and cut off one corner. Now, pipe 7 to 8 straight lines about 2 – 2 ½ inches long on the parchment paper-lined tray and keep it in the refrigerator to set. These will become the hands of the snowman.
  4. Melt the white chocolate chips with 2-3 teaspoons of oil in the microwave at 20-second intervals; stirring properly after each interval and continuing to heat as necessary. Pour the melted white chocolate into a zip-top bag and cut off one corner.
  5. Take one Hershey’s Kiss, pipe white chocolate around the bottom edge, and quickly roll it in the watermelon/cherry Nerds candies. Let it set on a parchment paper-lined surface. This will be the hat of the snowman.
  6. Now, on a parchment paper-lined surface, pipe a dollop of melted white chocolate and stick one Raffaello candy on it. This will work as a base and will help the snowman to stay upright.
  7. Next, pipe some more white chocolate on top of the base Raffaello candy and stick another Raffaello candy on top to get the body. Let it set and repeat the process to create the head of the snowman.
  8. Pipe some more white chocolate on the top of the head and stick the prepared hat. Let it set.
  9. Similarly, stick the dark chocolate hands on the sides and skittles buttons in the middle using white chocolate.
  10. To make the eyes, use the end of the toothpick, dip it in the black gel food coloring, and carefully press two dots on the face.
  11. To make the nose, cut a skittle in half vertically and stick it in the middle below the eyes using melted white chocolate. That’s it, your snowman is now ready!
  12. Serve immediately or refrigerate for later.

Notes

  • You must work quickly with melted white chocolate as it tends to set faster. If you feel that your chocolate is getting harder, just pop it in the oven for 10-15 seconds to re-melt.
  • I suggest making the eyes and nose first on the Raffaello candy and then sticking it on the top.
  • You can try different colored candies for your eyes and nose.
  • Swap holiday sprinkles for the Nerds candy.
  • Use mini peanut butter cups for hats.
