  • 3 oz strawberry jello
  • 8 oz Cool Whip
Optional Garnish
  • Red White Blue Star Sprinkles
  • Maraschino cherries
  • fresh blueberries
  • fresh strawberries
  • fresh raspberries
  • Whipped Cream
  • whipped topping

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Prepare a place in your refrigerator where 6 cups will fit. I like to put mine on a baking sheet for easy moving.
  2. Prepare berry blue jello according to the package directions. I used the Speed-Set Method with ice cubes.
  3. Transfer jello to a cup with a spout or use a turkey baster to distribute jello evenly among 6 clear plastic cups.
  4. Place cups in the refrigerator for 2 hours or until set to the touch.
  5. Spoon Cool Whip on top of blue jello. Be sure to save some to top your cups with. Gently shake to level the whipped topping.
  6. Place cups in a freezer for 1 hour or until Cool Whip is hard to the touch.
  7. Prepare cherry jello and add it on top of the Cool Whip in all 6 cups.
  8. Place cups in the refrigerator for 2 hour or until set to the touch.
  9. If you choose, top with whipped cream and sprinkles or a cherry.

  • Choose the right Jello flavors and colors to match your event.
  • Place disposable cups on a cookie sheet to make jello cups so you can easily move the cups in and out of the fridge during the setting process.
  • Allow each layer to set before adding the next to maintain distinct colors.
  • Cool Jello before pouring into cups to make the next layer.
  • Keep layers as equal and as even as possible.
  • Use a measuring cup with a spout or a turkey baster to gently pour the Jello into each cup to prevent splashing or creating air bubbles.
  • Garnish with whipped topping or whipped cream, fresh fruit, maraschino cherries and/or sprinkles.
