- 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4 cups mini marshmallows
- 3 tablespoons red, white, and blue sprinkles
Instructions
- Lightly grease an 8x8-inch pan.
- Pour 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal into a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
- Melt 1/4 cup butter in a saucepan over low heat. Once butter is melted, pour in 4 cups mini marshmallows and use a rubber spatula to stir constantly until marshmallows are completely melted and smooth.
- Pour marshmallows over Rice Krispies and stir together until combined. Gently fold in 2 tablespoons of the sprinkles.
- Transfer the mixture to your prepared pan. Press down using a piece of wax or parchment paper until flattened. Sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon of sprinkles onto the top and gently press them down into the treats so that they stick.
- Let cool completely before cutting. You can pop them in the fridge for 5 minutes to speed up the cooling. Cut into 9 squares and enjoy!
