Red Wine Vinaigrette
This Red Wine Vinaigrette combines extra-virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, sugar, garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a balanced, tangy dressing. It blends the sharpness of vinegar with the richness of olive oil and a touch of sweetness, perfect for salads or as a marinade. The garlic and paprika add an underlying warmth and subtle spice to the vinaigrette's flavor profile.
Ingredients
- ½ cup extra-virgin olive oil
- ½ cup red wine vinegar
- ⅔ cup granulated sugar
- 2 garlic minced, medium cloves
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a jar or small bowl with tall sides. With an immersion blender, blitz ingredients a few times to combine. If you don't have an immersion blender, cover jar tightly with a lid and shake vigorously to combine.
Notes
- This vinaigrette can be stored refrigerated for up to a week; shake well before each use to recombine ingredients.
- Use a fresh, good-quality extra-virgin olive oil for best flavor and texture.
- The sugar balances the acidity and can be adjusted to taste.
- The immersion blender helps emulsify the dressing, but you can vigorously shake the mixture in a jar if you don't have one.
