Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • 1 cup Reese’s Pieces plus more for topping

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a 9x13 pan with parchment paper, then grease with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat to combine.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl and combine.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and Reese’s pieces.
  6. Cover the bowl and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Press the cookie dough into the prepared pan and top with more Reese’s pieces.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until the edges are golden brown but the center is still soft.
  9. Allow the cookie bars to cool in the pan, the slice into bars and serve.

Notes

  • I know it's hard to resist digging in the moment you pull them out of the oven. But letting them cool will give you nice clean cuts, perfect for lunch boxes or a cookie plate.
  • If Reese's Pieces aren't your thing you can certainly substitute them with other candies. M&M's or chopped up peanut butter cups work great.
