Roasted Green Beans

Oven-roasted green beans are a simple and delicious side dish that goes with just about any entree!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound green beans
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon seasoned salt or Kosher salt
  • black pepper to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Wash the beans and trim ends. Pat dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. Place beans on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder and toss to combine. Spread into a single layer.
  5. Roast the beans for 15-22 minutes or until tender-crisp. Broil for 1 minute if desired.

  • Seasoning Variations
  • Leftover roasted green beans can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Cold leftovers are a great addition to salads.
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • replace oil with bacon fat
  • sprinkle with 2 tbs fresh Parmesan cheese
