Ingredients
Red Sangria
- 1 bottle red wine
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- ½ cup brandy
- ½ cup orange juice
- 2 persimmons sliced or thinly wedged
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 orange cut into rounds
- 1 blood orange cut into rounds
White Sangria
- 1 Fuji apple thinly sliced
- 1 green apple thinly sliced
- ¾ cup fresh pomegranate seeds
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- ¼ cup brandy
- 1 bottle cold white wine
- 1 bottle sparkling water
Instructions
Red Sangria
- Combine everything in a large pitcher and refrigerate for 2-3 hours, or overnight before serving.

- Combine everything in a large pitcher and refrigerate for 2-3 hours, or overnight before serving.
Notes
- Use a fruity red wine such as Merlot or Grenache for best results. Avoid using dry wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon or Shiraz as they can make the sangria too tart.
- If you want your drink to be sweeter, add more sugar to the recipe. If you prefer it to be less sweet, you can reduce the amount of sugar or omit it altogether.
- Be sure to add plenty of fresh fruit to your sangria for both flavor and decoration. In addition to the fruit listed in the recipe above, other good choices include grapes, peaches, and pears.
