Ingredients
- 1 Rice Krispies Treats homemade or store bought, pan
- ½ cup white not bright white chocolate melting chips
- Candy eyes Wilton brand; large
- M&M’s candies or even candy corn, orange; or Reese’s Pieces candies
- Twizzler candy cut in half, orange pull and peel strands
- Chocolate Chex Cereal or similar
- icing gel black color
Instructions
- Using a circle cookie cutter, cut out the scarecrow face from rice krispies treats.
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt the melting chips according to package directions.
- Spread a layer of the melted white chocolate on top of the cut circle for the head. Set aside the remaining melted chocolate for later use.
- Press the 2 candy eyes and orange M&M for the nose into the melted chocolate on the face.
- Firmly press 2 licorice strands into scarecrow face on each side (for the hair).
- Before the chocolate sets, lay the squares of cereal across the top of the scarecrow head in 2 layers. I used 4 on the bottom and 2 on top to resemble a hat. You may have to add some additional melted chocolate onto the back of each cereal square that goes on top of the hair.
- Pipe a big smile with the black Wilton icing gel.
