Seafood Fra Diavolo Recipe
Seafood Fra Diavolo is a spicy Italian-style tomato sauce featuring cooked seafood such as shrimp, crab, and scallops. The sauce is built from sautéed onions and garlic, simmered with tomato puree, diced tomatoes, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and a touch of sugar to balance acidity. It is finished with baking soda to reduce acidity and served over pasta with Parmesan and parsley garnish.
Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 pound seafood , cooked, shelled and deveined, if necessary
- pasta cooked, of choice

Instructions
- In a large Dutch oven or large pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Saute the onion until soft, add the garlic, sauteing for one more minute.
