Sesame Garlic Basmati Rice

Ingredients
- ½ tsp butter
- 1 ½ tsp sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- ¾ cup uncooked basmati rice, rinsed
- 1 ½ cups chicken broth **Use vegetable broth for a vegetarian version
- Sea salt and white pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Heat the butter and sesame oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Add the rice and cook, stirring often so the rice doesn't stick to the pan, for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the chicken broth and season with sea salt and white pepper, to taste. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and let cook for 20 minutes.
- Remove the rice from the burner without removing the lid and let it sit for 5 minutes. Carefully remove the lid and fluff rice with a fork.
- Sprinkle with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds and serve. Enjoy.
