Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil avocado or olive
- 1 large yellow onion
- 2 lbs shaved steak
- 1 tbsp salt adjust to taste
- 1 tsp ground black pepper adjust to taste
- 1 lb Provolone cheese slices
- 6 Hoagie rolls
Instructions
- Preheat a pan over medium-high heat with the oil. Cut the onion into half rings, then add to the pan and cook until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Increase the heat to high. Add the shaved beef to the same pan, and season with salt and pepper. Sauté until the beef is fully cooked.
- Add the onions back to the pan and stir to combine. Top with the cheese slices and let the mixture sit for a minute to melt.
- Toast the hoagie rolls on a hot skillet or broil them in the oven.
- Stuff the hoagie rolls with the steak mixture. Serve immediately and enjoy!
