Shiitake Mushroom Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shiitake mushrooms cleaned and sliced
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup green onions chopped

Instructions

  1. Gently wipe the shiitake mushrooms with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt before cooking them.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook without stirring for about 3 minutes so they can brown. Stir and continue cooking for 2 more minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute or until fragrant. Stir in salt and pepper.
  5. Adjust the seasonings as needed and serve immediately with green onions as garnish.
