Shirley Temple Recipe

Shirley Temples are fun, simple, and absolutely refreshing kid-friendly mocktails that only require three ingredients. Perfect for warm weather festivities, birthday parties, and kids-at-heart, my recipe is a sweet, but not too sweet, take on the classic kiddie drink.

Ingredients

  • ice for serving
  • 2 tbsp grenadine syrup
  • 16 ounces ginger ale or lemon lime soda
  • 2 tbsp lime juice optional
  • Maraschino cherries for garnish

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Fill two glasses with ice.
  2. Add one tablespoon of grenadine syrup to each glass.
  3. Pour the ginger ale or lemon lime soda over the ice to fill each glass. Give a taste; if it's too sweet stir in a teaspoon of lime juice, up to one tablespoon lime juice per glass.
  4. Serve with one or more maraschino cherries as garnish.

Notes

  • Don't have grenadine? Use the juice from the maraschino cherry jar! It's not the same, but it still gives a sweet, fruity flavor and turns the drink reddish pink!
