Simple Cheese Biscuits Recipe

This simple cheese biscuits recipe is made with cheddar cheese, they are delicious and quick to prepare and are perfect next to any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter cut into small pieces
  • 6 tablespoon milk
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot chili powder or cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C), and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Add the flour, baking powder, sugar, and dried chili powder into a bowl and whisk together.
  3. Cut the cutter into the flour mixture with a fork until a crumbly consistency.
  4. Add the milk and mix with a spatula until a sticky dough is formed.
  5. Transfer the dough onto a floured work surface and pat it down into a 1/2inch thick small rectangle.
  6. Place the shredded cheddar cheese onto a flat plate. Set aside.
  7. Cut the biscuit dough with a 3-inch cookie cutter then place it on top of the cheese slightly pressing down, then turn over and place onto a line baking pan. The cheese side will be facing upward.
  8. Place into the oven and bake for 15-16 minutes or until a golden crust is present.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
