Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons salted butter cut into small pieces
- 6 tablespoon milk
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup cheddar cheese grated
- 1/2 teaspoon hot chili powder or cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C), and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Add the flour, baking powder, sugar, and dried chili powder into a bowl and whisk together.
- Cut the cutter into the flour mixture with a fork until a crumbly consistency.
- Add the milk and mix with a spatula until a sticky dough is formed.
- Transfer the dough onto a floured work surface and pat it down into a 1/2inch thick small rectangle.
- Place the shredded cheddar cheese onto a flat plate. Set aside.
- Cut the biscuit dough with a 3-inch cookie cutter then place it on top of the cheese slightly pressing down, then turn over and place onto a line baking pan. The cheese side will be facing upward.
- Place into the oven and bake for 15-16 minutes or until a golden crust is present.
- Serve and enjoy!
