Simple Hot Fudge Sauce (only 5 ingredients)

The easiest hot fudge. It's deliciously rich and chocolatey and perfect for ice cream! Makes about 2 1/2 cups.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup butter

Instructions

  1. Whisk together sugar, flour and cocoa powder in a saucepan. Add evaporated milk and butter. Bring mixture to a low boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Gently boil mixture for 3-4 minutes until thickened. Allow mixture to cool about 5 - 10 minutes before serving. Whisk once more before serving.
  2. Store unused portion in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks, reheat in the microwave until warm.
