Simple Red Sangria Recipe

Ingredients

  • 750 mL red wine (preferably merlot)
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 1 cup sparkling water (regular or flavored)
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 2 bartlett pears seeded and sliced
  • 1 pomegranate seeded

Instructions

  1. In a 2-quart pitcher, stir together the red wine, vodka, sparkling water, and pomegranate juice.
  2. Add fruit to the pitcher and stir again.
  3. Chill the pitcher of sangria for at least 4 hours (or overnight).
  4. Serve in wine glasses with fruit from the pitcher.

Notes

  • If you're in a rush, you can serve this sangria right after mixing it up, but it's really better to wait and let the flavors all marry together.
