Sizzler Cheese Toast

Sizzler cheese toast is a quick snack that you can make at home with my easy recipe. Thick slices of cheesy, buttery, golden brown Sizzler toast just like the original!

Ingredients

  • 2 slices soft white bread thick cut bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter spread
  • 1 tablespoon finely grated pecorino cheese

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine butter and grated pecorino cheese then mix well to combine.
  2. Spread half of the butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread, getting all the way to the edges.
  3. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and place the bread slices (butter side down) in the pan and fry for 1½ - 2 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Flip over the bread briefly to mop up any melted butter in the pan then serve immediately.

Notes

  • Thickly sliced, fluffy white bread is also in keeping with the original as well.
