For a Sloe Gin Fizz –
- 1 ounce gin
- 1 ounce sloe gin
- 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
- ¾ ounce simple syrup
- Splash of club soda
- Lemon slice
For a Classic Gin Fizz –
- 2 ounces gin
- 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
- ¾ ounce simple syrup
- Splash of club soda
- Lemon twist
- Optional: egg white for UP style cocktail
Instructions
- How to Make a Sloe Gin Fizz: Set out a cocktail shaker, and fill halfway with ice.
- Pour in 1 ounce gin, 1 ounce sloe gin, 1 ounce lemon juice, and 3/4 of an ounce of simple syrup. Shake well for 30 seconds.
- Set out a coupe style glass or a lowball glass. If serving in a coupe glass, no ice is needed. Pour the cocktail into the glass, add a splash of club soda, and garnish with fresh berries or a lemon slice. If serving in a lowball glass, fill with ice (or an ice block) and pour in the cocktail, add a splash of club soda, and garnish.
- How to Make a Classic Gin Fizz: Set out a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Pour in 2 ou-ces of gin, 1-ounce of lemon juice, 3/4-ounce simple syrup, and an egg white if using. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
- Pour in a coupe glass and add a splash of club soda and a lemon twist. To serve on the rocks, pour in a lowball glass over ice, add a splash of club soda, and a lemon slice.
