Sloppy Joe Sliders
These Sloppy Joe Sliders are filled with sloppy joe mix, topped with melted cheddar cheese, and baked to perfection on soft Hawaiian rolls.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef lean
- 1/2 small red bell pepper
- 1/2 small green bell pepper
- 1/2 small onion
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2 cups barbecue sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 12 lices cheddar cheese
- 12 count hawaiian rolls
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- sesame seeds for topping
- parsley for topping
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium high heat add the ground beef, red bell pepper, green bell pepper and onion.
- Cook until the beef is brown and drain off any grease.
- To the skillet add the garlic, bbq sauce, chili powder, brown sugar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
- Let everything cook together for about 10-15 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Slice your Hawaiian rolls in half and place 6 slices of cheddar on the bottom and top with the sloppy joe mix.
- Top the sloppy joe mix with the remaining 6 slices of cheese and the tops of the buns.
- Brush the bun tops with the melted butter and sprinkle with a little sesame seeds and parsley.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve immediately
