Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken drumstick about 12 drumsticks
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 clove garlic minced finely or 1 teaspoon minced garlic

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup and garlic.
  2. Spray the slow cooker with a spray cooking oil. Place the chicken drumsticks inside the bottom of the slow cooker, stacking the chicken if necessary.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken drumsticks.
  4. Cook the chicken drumsticks on high for 4 hours (or low for 6 hours). Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours until chicken reaches 160°F for safe consumption; 170-175°F yields more tender meat.
  • Arrange chicken in a single layer if possible for even saucing; if stacked, toss with sauce before serving.
  • Chicken thighs or legs can substitute drumsticks; wings cook faster and require less time.
  • Chicken can be frozen in the sauce for later use but should be fully thawed before cooking in the slow cooker.
