Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken
This Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken is a simple and absolutely delicious meal to have ready when you get home in the evening. Serve over rice with a side of broccoli or zucchini.
Ingredients
- 3 chicken breast boneless skinless
- 4 tablespoon garlic minced
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ⅓ cup hoisin sauce found in Asian section of the grocery store
- green onion optional, sliced green onion and toasted sesame seeds
- sesame seeds optional, sliced green onion and toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Place the chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, Hoisin sauce, and garlic until combined well.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken.
- Cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 7-8 hours until the chicken is cooked fully
- Remove chicken from the slow cooker.
- Stir the sauce and continue to cook with the lid off to thicken (approximately about 10 minutes)
- With 2 forks, shred the chicken and then pour the sauce over top.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds if desired.
