Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

This Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken is a simple and absolutely delicious meal to have ready when you get home in the evening. Serve over rice with a side of broccoli or zucchini.

Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breast boneless skinless
  • 4 tablespoon garlic minced
  • ½  cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ⅓ cup hoisin sauce found in Asian section of the grocery store
  • green onion optional, sliced green onion and toasted sesame seeds
  • sesame seeds optional, sliced green onion and toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, Hoisin sauce, and garlic until combined well.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken.
  4. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 7-8 hours until the chicken is cooked fully
  5. Remove chicken from the slow cooker.
  6. Stir the sauce and continue to cook with the lid off to thicken (approximately about 10 minutes)
  7. With 2 forks, shred the chicken and then pour the sauce over top.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds if desired.
  9. ENJOY!!!
