Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

These Slow Cooker Smothered Hamburgers are such a great family friendly weeknight meal. Ground beef, onion soup mix and seasonings mix together to form flavorful patties that cook up in a delicious gravy made with gravy mix and cream of mushroom soup. This is fabulous over mashed potatoes, rice or noodles!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef lean
  • 1 ounce envelope onion soup mix dry
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon steak seasoning
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 .5 ounce cream of mushroom soup can
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 .87 envelope brown gravy mix
  • parsley optional, for garnish

Instructions

  1. . In a large bowl combine the ground beef, onion soup mix, worcheshire sauce, steak seasoning, egg and bread crumbs.
  2. Mix well and divide into 4 patties.
  3. In a large skillet over medium high heat brown the patties 2-3 minutes on each side until they are browned.
  4. Remove from pan and place into the bottom of your slow cooker.
  5. In a bowl combine the cream of mushroom, water and brown gravy mix.
  6. Pour the gravy mix over the burgers.
  7. Cover and cook on low 6 hours or high 4 hours.
  8. Serve!

Notes

  • You can use ground turkey if you like.
  • You can use cream of onion soup or even cream of chicken soup if you don’t prefer mushrooms.
  • You can add sliced onions and mushrooms to the slow cooker as well.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
