Smoked Baked Beans

Sweet and savory baked beans cooked in the smoker to make the ultimate bbq side dish.

Ingredients

  • 56 ounces canned baked beans do not drain
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 2 jalapeños diced
  • 1 white onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 4 slices thick-cut bacon

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat your smoker to 250 F.
  2. Add baked beans to a cast iron skillet. Add the rest of the ingredients (except for bacon), and stir to combine.
  3. Place bacon slices on top, then put in your smoker and cook for about 2 hours - until the beans are heated through and the bacon is cooked. Stir before serving.
