Smoked Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients

  • 4 cups green beans fresh, cut (or 3 cans drained)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream soup mushroom, celery or chicken
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups chicken broth or water
  • 1 cup cheese shredded, divided (optional)
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions

Instructions

  1. Get out and measure your ingredients.
  2. Prepare a casserole sized foil pan with butter or non-stick spray, set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl combine the soup, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, and ½ of the shredded cheese.
  4. Boil green beans in chicken broth or water until they are bright green, roughly five minutes.
  5. Stir in beans and ⅔ cup fried onions.
  6. Pour mixture into the lightly greased foil pan.
  7. Smoke at 250 degrees for about 30-45 minutes, until the mixture is bubbling.
  8. Remove from smoker and sprinkle the top of the casserole with the remaining fried onions and shredded cheese.
  9. Return to the smoker for an additional 20-30 minutes, until the cheese has melted and is golden brown.
  10. Serve.
  11. Enjoy.
