S'mores Dip

This quick and easy smores dip recipe can be baked to perfection in just ten minutes!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups milk chocolate chocolate chips (semi-sweet may also be used)
  • 10 ounces large marshmallows (enough to fill the pan)
  • graham crackers and other dipping items (fruit, cookies, pretzels, etc)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly in the bottom of a 9" cast-iron skillet or 9" cake pan, then top with marshmallows. Press the marshmallows down onto the chocolate chips.
  3. Bake for 7-10 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown.
  4. When the marshmallows are golden brown, remove the pan from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes so the chocolate will melt completely.
  5. Serve warm with graham crackers or your favorite dipping items such as fruit, cookies, or pretzels.

Notes

  • Make this more or less right before you’re ready to eat it. It’s best served hot or at least warm, although it’s still tasty at room temperature.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. You’ll want to remove them from the cast iron pan as soon as you’re done so you can clean out the leftover mess. When you’re ready to eat the leftovers, heat in the oven at 350 degrees until the chocolate and marshmallows are melted again. 
  • Try different varieties. Mix it up by using dark chocolate or try using colored marshmallows for different holidays like Easter or Christmas. Or change up the chocolate chips and use Reese’s peanut butter cups instead. There are so many different options – try a new one at your next party!
