Snickerdoodle Bread

We love making homemade bread and this Snickerdoodle Bread is one of favorite. It taste just like a snickerdoodle cookie but in a bread form.

Ingredients

For the Bread:
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 6 Tablespoons butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the Cinnamon Swirl:
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 5×9 loaf pan with cooking spray.
  2. Cream together the butter, sugar and brown sugar with a hand held mixer or stand up mixer until smooth.
  3. Add in the eggs, milk, sour cream and vanilla extract.  Mix until combined.
  4. Then stir in the flour, baking powder and salt by hand until just combined.
  5. In a separate small bowl, stir together the cinnamon swirl ingredients with a fork.
  6. Pour approximately 1/3 of the batter into the loaf pan.  Sprinkle 1/3 of the cinnamon swirl mixture on top.  Continue this process until all the batter and cinnamon swirl mixture are used.
  7. Bake for 50-55 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool for 10-15 minutes on a wire rack.  Then carefully remove the bread from the pan and cool completely.
  9. Then the bread is ready to slice, serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store the leftovers in an airtight container or bag at room temperature for up to 3-4 days.
