Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar white
  • 2 egg
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar white

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Lightly grease cookie sheets.
  2. Mix the butter, 1 1/2 cups sugar, and eggs thoroughly using an electric mixer.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir to combine.
  5. Chill the dough for at least an hour.
  6. Form the dough into balls.
  7. Mix the cinnamon and 1/2 cup sugar in a small bowl and roll the dough balls in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Place the sugar-coated dough balls on the greased cookie sheets and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
