Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 tsp salt
  • pinch of baking soda

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Fill a deep, microwave-safe bowl with enough water to cover the eggs. Heat the water in the microwave until very hot, about 3 minutes.
  2. Mix in the salt (add 1/2 tsp salt per egg, so if you are cooking more eggs, add more salt) and just a pinch of baking soda and stir. Gently slide the eggs into the bowl.
  3. Microwave for 3 minutes. Then, let stand in the water for 6 minutes. Note that my microwave is a 1000W. You mat need to adjust time depending on your microwave strength.
  4. Fill a bowl with ice and cold water and slide the eggs in, letting them stand for 2 minutes.
  5. Peel and eat!

Notes

  • You may need to play with cook time based on the size of your bowl and microwave power but this cook time consistently worked well for me. My bowl was short but deep!
