Soft Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Easy to make soft chewy chocolate chip cookie recipe. These little yummy devils will not disappoint. Chewy chocolaty rich butter chocolate chip cookies will melt in your mouth inspiring your cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1¼ cups unbleached bread flour 155 grams
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • tsp ¼salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter 115 grams
  • g ¼ cup/ 50granulated sugar 50 grams
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar 150 grams
  • 1 egg 50 grams
  • 1 egg yolk 20 grams
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips 125 grams

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C
  2. Line two baking cookie sheets with parchment paper
  3. In a bowl mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt
  4. In a mixing machine with a paddle attachment or a mixing blender, add the butter and sugar and cream them together on medium until smooth
  5. Add the egg and mix until well blended
  6. Add the egg yolk and vanilla and continue to mix until well combined.
  7. Scrape and clean the sides of the bowl with spatula
  8. with the mixing machine or blender on slow speed, gradually add the flour mixture until just combined ans incorporated
  9. Add the semi chocolate chips and and mix on slow speed until well blended throughout the cookie batter
  10. Wrap cookie dough in plastic and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before scooping
  11. Scoop individual portions using a small or medium size ice cream scoop or tablespoon and place cookie dough balls onto lined cookie pan spacing them apart about 1 1/2 inch
  12. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden
  13. Once baked transfer cookies to wire rack and cook completely
  14. Store in air tight jar or container for up to 2 weeks
