Ingredients

  • 10 wonton wrappers, thawed if frozen, or small corn tortillas work too
  • cooking spray
  • 2 tblsp olive or another vegetable oil
  • salt or seasoned salt - to taste
  • parmesan, grated, if desired sprinkle on as soon as strips come out of oven
Tortilla Seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Get out and measure your ingredients.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F
  3. Stack wonton wrappers or tortillas and grab a sharp knife.
  4. Carefully cut into ¼-1/2 inch strips.
  5. Coat a foil lined baking sheet with cooking spray and place sliced wrappers on the sheet in a single layer, making sure they don't touch.
  6. Brush the strips with oil or use cooking spray and sprinkle with salt.
  7. Bake until golden, between 7 and 8 minutes.
  8. Add parmesan to taste, if using.
  9. Watch them the first time you make them because cooking time varies slightly and you don’t want them to burn. It happens fast.
  10. Allow to cool and serve.
  11. Enjoy every bite!
  12. I keep them in a sealed container at room temperature for up to 2 days if only salted.
