Ingredients

  • 1 cabbage finely shredded, head
  • 2 carrot finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar distilled
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper ground

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the cabbage, carrots, and onion.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, milk, buttermilk, lemon juice, vinegar, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and mix thoroughly.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the slaw for at least 2 hours. Mix again before serving.
