Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup peanut butter smooth
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
Icing
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup peanut butter smooth
- 3 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13" baking pan and line with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a large bowl add the melted butter, both sugars, vanilla and egg and mix together until smooth. Add the smooth peanut butter and mix again until incorporated.
- Add the flour, quick oats and mix well. This is a thick batter.
- Spread mixture into pan and using a greased spatula or wet your hand and gently press, spreading into an even layer to edges of pan. Bake for 20-22 minutes until golden.
- While it's baking make the icing. In a medium bowl mix together the powdered sugar, smooth peanut butter and milk. Whisk until smooth adding more milk if a thinner consistency is desired.
- Spread icing over baked peanut butter bars while still warm from oven. Let sit and firm up for an hour minimum before slicing.
