Ingredients

  • 20 ounces pineapple tidbits with juice
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese grated
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup Ritz crackers crushed (about 12 )
  • ¼ cup butter plus more for preparing the dish

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Generously butter an 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the undrained pineapple tidbits, flour, cheese, and sugar. Stir well, but gently, to combine the ingredients.
  3. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Spread the cracker crumbs evenly over the top of the pineapple mixture.  Dot the top with butter.
  5. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until bubbly. Remove from the oven and cool for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • This recipe is best enjoyed while still warm and fresh from the oven. However, if you do have leftovers you want to store, you'll need to allow it to cool completely first, then transfer to an airtight container which can be kept in the refrigerator for about 3 days.
