Southwestern Honey Lime Dressing

This sweet, tangy, smoky chili lime vinaigrette is ready in 5 minutes and is delicious on salads or spooned over grilled steaks and chops.

Ingredients

  • 3 large garlic cloves minced
  • 1 lime zested
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice from the zested lime
  • ¾ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt we use Diamond Crystal
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1½ tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the 3 large garlic cloves,lime zest, ¾ teaspoon ground cumin, ¾ teaspoon kosher salt, ½ teaspoon chili powder, ½ teaspoon black pepper, 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard, 1½ tablespoons honey and 2 tablespoons lime juice. Whisk to combine.
  2. Whisk in 5 tablespoons olive oil a little at a time so that the dressing is thick and emulsified.
  3. Serve over salads, grilled meats, or to dress vegetables.

Notes

  • Each serving is two tablespoons.
