Spiced Apricot Jam
A spicy and sweet spiced apricot jam, quickly made with a store-bought spread and perfect for adding a zesty kick to your meals and appetizers.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup apricot spread 75 grams, unsweetened
- 1 teaspoon crushed chili pepper add more if you prefer it spicier, or crushed pepper flakes
- 4 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon rosemary chopped fresh leaves
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar You can also use Monk fruit sweetener, or coconut sugar
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients in a small bowl.
- Stir to combine using a fork to make it smooth. Loosen up any thicker pieces of the fruit spread and ensure that all the ingredients are well incorporated.
- Serve in a small ramekin or serving bowl.
Notes
- Helpful Tips:
- You can prepare this spiced jam in advance and store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks or longer.
- It can serve 6 to 8 people as a party snack or topping (about ⅓ cup total). Simply double or triple the ingredients if you want a bigger batch.
- This jam is pretty spicy, but taste-test it, and feel free to make it even a tad spicier or less if preferred.
