Spiced Easter Biscuits

A twist on the traditional Easter biscuits with cranberries and orange zest.

Ingredients

  • 220 g plain flour
  • 110 g butter
  • 100 g caster sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp all spice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp orange zest
  • 45 g cranberries
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Pre heat the oven to fan 140C / 160C / 320F / gas 3 and line a baking tray.
  2. Add the flour and butter to a food processor and process until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
  3. Then add in the sugar, baking powder, spices, orange zest and cranberries and process till mixed.
  4. Add in the egg and pulse for a few seconds until the mixture forms into a dough.
  5. Roll the dough to a thickness of about 1 cm and then cut into your desired cookie shapes.
  6. Bake for about 15-18 mins until biscuits are golden.
