Ingredients
- 3 ounces water boiled
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon Turmeric
- 1/8 teaspoon ginger
- 8 ounces non-dairy milk of choice warmed
- 2 teaspoons of sweetener or to taste (I used maple syrup)
Instructions
- Boil water (on stove, in kettle, microwave) and add to small glass mixing cup. Add matcha powder, and spices to cup and whisk until combined.
- Warm non-dairy milk in large mug using method of choice.
- Add spiced matcha water mixture to mug of milk and whisk again. Add sweetener to taste, and enjoy!
Cup of Yum
Notes
- If really love match flavor, add a heaping teaspoon or so.
- Feel free to use ½ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice for a pumpkin spice matcha latte, or ½ teaspoon chai spice blend for a chai matcha latte.
- Make sure water is hot and milk is warm or you may end up with bits of spices at the bottom of your cup if your liquids aren't warm enough.
- You can also make this on the stove top by putting all of the ingredients in one pot, and whisking until mixture is simmering. Then remove from heat and enjoy from mug.
- I've also blended mixture in my NutriBullet. Just make sure milk isn't too hot, then add directly to blender cup with slightly cooled spiced matcha mixture.
- Feel free to double recipe.
