Ingredients

  • 2 red wine dry or semi-sweet
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 6 clove whole
  • 5 star anise whole
  • 3 cinnamon whole sticks
  • 1 cup cranberries fresh
  • 2 orange sliced
  • 2 apple sliced

Instructions

  1. In a 6-quart pot add wine, apple cider, orange juice, cloves, star anise, and cinnamon sticks. Simmer gently for about an hour. If you would like a sweeter spiced wine you can add up to ½ cup brown sugar per batch.
  2. Turn down the heat to low (to keep it warm) and add in fresh cranberries, orange slices, and apple slices. Keep warm and serve warm.
