Spicy Lebanese Salad
The traditional Lebanese salad with a spicy kick, salad greens are tossed with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, mint, za'atar, and minced chilis.
Ingredients
- 4 cups romaine lettuce chopped
- 1 medium tomato (diced)
- 4 radish thinly sliced
- 1 cup English cucumber (diced )
- ¼ cup red onion (thinly sliced)
- ¼ cup parsley (minced)
Spicy Lebanese Salad Dressing
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon dried mint (or two tablespoons minced fresh)
- 1 tablespoon za'atar spice blend
- 1 tablespoon serrano chili seeded and minced
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place all of the salad ingredients in a large bowl and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together all of the salad dressing ingredients. Drizzle on top of the salad greens and toss well to coat. Check for seasoning and adjust to taste.
Notes
- Want to make it spicier? Add more minced chiles. Want to make it more mild? Remove the seeds and pith of the chili before mincing.
