Spicy Michelada

Micheladas are a popular beer cocktail served throughout Mexico and is a great way to elevate a Mexican beer with flavorful combinations that include vegetable juice, lime, and hot sauce for some spice. This beer cocktail is tangy, refreshing, and spicy with the bold flavor of Tabasco. It is served in a Tajin-rimmed glass and garnished with a celery stalk and a lime slice.

Ingredients

  • Tajin fruit seasoning
  • ice
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • ½ cup tomato juice V8 or Clamato
  • 1 dash Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1 dash tabasco
  • 1 12 ounce Mexican beer
  • celery stalk optional, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Moisten rim of a beer glass with a lime wedge. Pour some Tajin fruit seasoning out onto a plate and rub the rim of the glass in the seasoning to coat.
  2. Put ice in glass. Pour lime juice, tomato juice, Worcestershire, Tabasco, and beer into the prepared glass and stir. Garnish with a celery stalk. Enjoy before the ice melts.

Notes

  • If you prefer a spicy Michelada, feel free add extra hot sauce.
  • Don't like V8? Try it with Clamato!
  • You can use Maggi Seasoning or soy sauce instead of Worcestershire sauce.
