Ingredients

  • 1 ½ c chickpeas, cooked or canned and drained, liquid reserved
  • ½-3/4 c reserved chickpea liquid (boiling liquid if you cook your beans or reserved liquid from the can plus water)
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp Tahini
  • 1 clove garlic, minced, or 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 4 dashes hot sauce
  • plash lemon juice

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In the bowl of a food processor, blend chickpeas with remaining ingredients, except reserved chickpea liquid.
  2. Add liquid a little at a time until a smooth consistency is reached.
  3. Serve as a dip for veggies or pita bread.
